Head of Marketing
At Waymark, we’re on a mission to make great video accessible to everyone – by building powerful, intuitive products that make video creative easy. We’re searching for a new Head of Marketing. We’re looking for someone eager to build a structured marketing machine from the ground up. Maybe you’re an experienced marketer with deep practitioner experience in marketing enterprise software and account based marketing techniques, ready to take on your next big challenge. Or are you a “cog in the wheel” at a large enterprise software company looking for a more dynamic environment?
Regardless of whether the above descriptions fit you to a tee or not, you most certainly have most of the following boxed checked:
3-5 (or more!) years of enterprise software marketing experience
Exposure to or experience with product and growth marketing
An understanding of account-based marketing strategies, if not your own proven techniques and playbooks
A balance between strategy and execution; while this role has a significant strategy component, we also need someone ready to “get their hands dirty” in executing against campaigns
You’ve previously worked at a startup, or have a very specific interest in working in a startup environment
You’re an excellent written and verbal communicator
Responsibilities will include
Product Messaging and Positioning
We have a strong point of view on the use of Video as a means of communication across Sales and Marketing in the enterprise, with a roadmap and product vision to support that. We’ll need your help in making sure that our customer facing interactions are focused on the right message. Whether that is campaign content, marketing copy, customer success messaging, or anything else that comes up.
Analytics and Reporting
We want to make sure that our time and energy is focused on the activities that drive the greatest return for us and our customers. A key part of this is making sure we have measurable returns from our marketing efforts, so we can double down on the ideas that matter most and stop wasting time on ideas that don’t perform. We use a combination of Copper and Mailchimp today, so you should be proficient or open to learning quickly.
Marketing Strategy
Our goal is to be used by organizations around the world to enable the creation of high-impact, on-brand videos at scale, across a variety of use cases in Sales, Marketing, and HR. As such, you’ll work closely with our leadership team to set and execute a growth strategy where you invent and execute on campaigns that drive the sale and usage of Waymark across the Enterprise market.
Content Marketing
You should be a strong writer that brings simplicity to complex topics, can craft a compelling story, and translate it all into easy to understand content. You’ll take a deep understanding of the needs of our customers, coupled with insights from our product and customer success teams, to create content to further engage our existing customers. You’ll also take the lead on creating SEO-optimized content to attract prospective customers who don’t yet know they need Waymark.
